Trademark policy (draft)

Name

The name Panorama, the panorama. wordmark, and any associated logos are intended to be registered trademarks of the Panorama project.

What you can do without asking

• Say "built on Panorama", "compatible with Panorama", "integrates with Panorama"
• Write blog posts, tutorials, videos that describe or demo Panorama
• Operate an internal deployment of Panorama at your organisation and call it "Panorama" there
• Fork the repository, modify it, and redistribute the modifications under AGPL, calling the fork something else (e.g., "Acme Asset Manager, a fork of Panorama")

What you cannot do without permission

• Redistribute a modified version of Panorama under the name "Panorama" (change the name, honour the AGPL; explain the lineage clearly)
• Offer a commercial SaaS called "Panorama" that competes with the project's hosted offering
• Use the Panorama logo on your product's packaging, marketing, or app icons
• Register panorama-* domains or trademarks in the asset / fleet management space

Community forks — naming hygiene

If you fork Panorama:

• Rename the product (e.g., "Acme Fleet")
• Remove / replace the Panorama logo
• Keep the AGPL notices intact
• Keep the attribution line in your About page or README: "Based on Panorama (https://panorama.vitormr.dev), AGPL-3.0-or-later"

Commercial (Enterprise) edition

The Enterprise edition licence grants the customer the right to operate their Panorama deployment under the Panorama name internally. It does NOT grant the right to resell, rebrand, or sublicence Panorama.
